How do 2 or more computers connect on my DSL line?

There are two methods of doing so. 1. A hub is used to link 2 or more computers together which becomes your LAN. The Hub then plugs into the Modem or Router, which in turn plugs into your new RJ-45 DSL wall-jack. You need to acquire more public IP addresses from us so that each computer would have its only public IP address. 2. A DSL router, such as our recommended Netopia R9100 Ethernet router, is installed between the DSL modem and your LAN hub. In this case, only ONE public IP address is needed as the router would use Network Address Translation (NAT) to connect all of your LAN computers to the Internet. This method is highly recommended for business as it can save your monthly service fee in the long run and also can provide a firewall to protect your LAN from potential hackers.
